CEO Action

CEO Act!on for Diversity & Inclusion™ (CEO Action) is the largest CEO-driven business commitment to advance diversity and inclusion within the workplace, with more than 330 coalition members to date.

On November 10, 2017, 70 leading corporate and academic signatories convened to discuss short and long-term actions that the business community can achieve within their own organizations and as a collective coalition to advance diversity and inclusion. The formation of the CEO Action President’s Circle was also announced, consisting of leaders from academic institutions and associations across the country, including Miami's president, Dr. Greg Crawford.

Miami's president Greg Crawford emphasized the importance of diversity and inclusion his first week on the job. His July 2016 letter to the community stated, “At Miami, inclusive excellence—or the recognition that our future success depends on how we foster, value, welcome, and engage a rich diversity of faculty, students, staff, and alumni—must become part of our institutional DNA. We cannot be excellent unless 1) we are diverse in the broadest sense of the word, and 2) we have an environment where our students, colleagues, and community members know the importance of their contributions and are able to flourish.”
