President Hodge invites faculty and staff to convocation

In a special e-mail letter sent Aug. 11, President David Hodge invited faculty and staff to join in this year's convocation and welcome Miami's newest students. Convocation will be held Friday, Aug. 21.

The Teaching American History IV program held this summer at Miami University Hamilton has received praise from the educators involved. The three-year program is designed to improve teacher knowledge of American history content and find new ways to convey the knowledge effectively to students.

Shane Allison, a Middletown City School nurse is one of 150 educators worldwide accepted into the first year of the Global Field Program thru Project Dragonfly and Miami University. Allison is earning his master's degree through the program, which includes three international trips.

A study conducted by UC professor David Maume and graduate students Rachel Sebastian (UC) and Anthony R. Bardo (Miami) has concluded that women working full-time sleep less than men.
