Miami senior awarded $10,000 astronaut scholarship

Miami University senior Iordan Ganev will receive a $10,000 scholarship from the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation (ASF) on Friday, Sept. 25. The award will be presented by Al Worden, Apollo 15 astronaut.

It services staff to hold H1N1 drill Sept. 17

In order to test the ability to maintain critical services throughout a potential flu outbreak or other potential crises, IT services staff will participate in an H1N1 drill Thursday, Sept. 17.


Miami Middletown to host racial profiling discussion

Miami University Middletown will observe Constitution Day on Sept. 17 by hosting an open forum on racial profiling. This panel discussion will be held at 12:30 p.m. in Room 142 of the Campus Community Center. This event is free and open to the public.


Colligan Project opens with lecture series Sept. 17

Martin Johnson, a history professor at Miami University Hamilton and a renowned Lincoln expert, kicks off the 2009-10 Michael J. Colligan History Project lecture series to be held at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 17, in the Wilks Conference Center at the MU Hamilton campus with "Lincoln at Hamilton and the New Birth of Freedom."


Gallery Talk: "Compositions in Black & White" Sept. 17

Ellen Price, Miami University professor of art, will present "Grey Matter: Compositions in Black & White" at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at the art museum.
