Successful emergency communication test held

Miami University's fall test of its emergency alert systems was a success, based on survey responses received following the 1:30 p.m. test Wednesday, Sept. 28.


Lentini featured on new fundraising CD for public radio

An original guitar arrangement recorded and performed by Jim Lentini, dean of Miami University's School of Fine Arts and professor of music, is included on a new CD produced for Cincinnati-area public radio stations WMUB-FM (88.5), WGUC-FM (90.9), WVXU-FM (91.7) and WNKU-FM (89.7).


IRS announces pension plan limitations for 2012

The Internal Revenue Service announced cost of living adjustments affecting dollar limitations for pension plans and other retirement-related items for Tax Year 2012. Miami University's benefit services explains these adjustments.

  • Miami Metals will hold its 27th annual jewelry sale in the Shriver Center vendor area 10 a.m.-7 p.m. today and tomorrow, Nov. 16-17.The sale offers a wide range of handmade jewelry and objects designed by students, faculty and alumni. All proceeds directly benefit students in the jewelry design and metalsmithing program in the department of art.
  • The Jazz Ensemble, directed by Jeremy Long, will perform a free concert today (Nov. 16) at 8 p.m. in Hall Auditorium.
