Phyllis Campbell, also known as "Mama Jazz" to her listeners on Miami University's public radio station, died Saturday, Nov. 26, in Eaton. She was 89. Campbell hosted the Mama Jazz radio show for WMUB 88.5 FM for about 30 years, where she had attained a large fan base.

Through musical examples, video and live performance, Miami University's Thomas George Caracas Garcia will explore the history and development of the Argentine Tango in a lecture at 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, in the Shriver Center Heritage Room.
The Miami University Chamber Singers and Choraliers, directed by William Bausano, will present their annual candlelit concert at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 2 and 3, at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 25 East Walnut St.
