Doctoral student to research whether to "freeze or not to freeze" in Antarctic study

Part 3 of 4 - Yuta Karawasaki, doctoral student in zoology working with Richard Lee, Distinguished Professor of Zoology, will spend February through June at Palmer Station. He is experienced at living for months in the Antarctic, having spent January through June 2011 at Palmer, which has a population of about 20 during the early winter months.

University Senate action Dec. 5

On Monday, Dec. 5, University Senate heard special reports from Phyllis Callahan, interim dean, College of Arts and Science, regarding department consolidation; and Debra Allison, vice president information technology, regarding the Information Technology Support Services Implementation Program, IT Rationalization and Services Transformation (SSIP-IT).


Celebration of Life event to be held for Phyllis Campbell, aka "Mama Jazz"

A Celebration of Life for Phyllis Campbell who died Saturday, Nov. 26, will be held 2:30-5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Oxford Community Arts Center, 10 S. College Avenue.
