After learning of an offensive flyer posted anonymously in a residence hall, Miami officials called a mandatory meeting of all males in the hall and are investigating the incident.
James Lager, internationally recognized expert on Leica cameras and systems, will speak at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the Miami University Art Museum. The Charles M. Messer Leica Camera Collection, one of the largest in the world, has been revived and reinstalled at the art museum as an ongoing display.
John Pepper, former chairman of the board and Chief Executive Officer of Procter & Gamble, will present "Russian Tide: Building a Leadership Business in the Midst of Unprecedented Change" at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, in Taylor Auditorium, Farmer School of Business. His talk is the annual Havighurst Lecture sponsored by the Havighurst Center for Russian and Post-Soviet Studies.

Mary Louise Adams of Queen's University will speak on the history of gender and figure skating at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, in 322 McGuffey Hall. She will explore the evolution of figure skating from a "gentlemanly art" into a feminine, competitive sport. The lecture will explore the relationship between gender reputation and figure skating from the nineteenth century to the present.
