To grow sustainably, Miami digs deep: Western campus geothermal project to supply new housing and dining facilities with efficient heating and cooling

How do you grow a campus while shrinking energy costs and emissions? For Miami University, committed to the student experience and sustainability, the answer is right underfoot. More than 300 geothermal wells are being drilled on the Western campus to heat and cool new, efficient residence and dining halls.   • "Human Trafficking 101 and Victim Identification" workshop at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the HIllel Foundation, 11 E. Walnut Street. Led by Erin Meyer, Anti-Trafficking Program Manager, Salvation Army and End Slavery Cincinnati. More than 3,000 youth in Ohio are at risk for sex trafficking, according to the Report on the Prevalence of Human Trafficking in Ohio, 2010. Organized by the League of Women Voters of Oxford and sponsored by Hillel and CAWC.
