Administrative leadership appointments in academic affairs

Provost and Executive Vice President Bobby Gempesaw announces several administrative leadership appointments in Miami's academic affairs division.


Michael Benitez: Hip Hop and social justice lecture and workshop Nov. 15 part of Human Rights and Social Justice program

Michael Benitez, social justice educator, speaker and activist, will present a lecture and workshop on Hip Hop and social justice at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, in Leonard Theatre, Peabody Hall. His presentation will demonstrate how Hip Hop can be used as a tool for examining social justice issues, engage activism and cultivate a culture of consciousness in education. It is part of the annual Human Rights and Social Justice program organized by the Center for American and World Cultures.
