Miami University's parking services office will pilot-test "smart" parking meters from Nov. 28 to Feb. 26, 2013, that are anticipated to make short-term parking easier on campus.
The awards and recognition committee of University Senate seeks nominations for faculty members deemed qualified to be honored by the designation "University Distinguished Professor." Application deadline is Friday, Dec. 7, to Allan Winkler, winkleam@miamioh.edu.
William (Clay) Fuqua, professor of biology at Indiana University, Bloomington, will present "Sticking to your point: deployment and function of a unipolar polysaccharide adhesin by Agrobacterium tumefaciens" at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, in 218 Pearson Hall. It is the Distinguished Lecture in Microbiology sponsored by the microbiology department.
