Miami students will gather to remember and honor those who have served in the armed forces. Veterans Day ceremonies are scheduled on the Oxford and regional campuses.
"Making 'Honor Flight' has changed our lives," said alumnus and filmmaker Dan Hayes '05, who with partner Clay Broga produced and directed the feature-length documentary. It tells the story of Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, a nonprofit group that sends World War II veterans to Washington, D.C., to see the memorial built in their honor.
Rick Steves, best-selling author and host of "Rick Steves' Europe," will present "Europe Through the Back Door" at 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, in Hall Auditorium. His lecture is part of the 2012-2013 Miami University Lecture Series.
