Gift from former dean's family funds study abroad scholarships and names conference room

A $1.5 million gift from the family of Raymond E. Glos, former dean of the School of Business Administration at Miami University for over 20 years, will provide financial support for students studying abroad and name a conference room in the dean's suite.

Communication professor Ann Frymier honored for scholarship and teaching

Ann Bainbridge Frymier, Miami University professor of communication and associate dean of the graduate school, is the recipient of the 2012 Elizabeth G. Andersch Award from Ohio University's School of Communication Studies. The award is presented to distinguished members of the communication discipline to acknowledge excellence in scholarship, teaching, leadership and mentorship.

"Third Nature" Humanities Center symposium Feb. 3

"Third Nature: Reconsidering Boundaries between Nature and Culture," a Miami University Humanities Center symposium, will be held 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, in 212 MacMillan Hall.
