Trustees approve faculty promotion and tenure

Miami University trustees at their Feb. 3 board meeting approved the promotion and/or tenure of 37 faculty members. A list of those faculty can be found here. Provost Bobby Gempesaw commended the group overall for teaching abilities and innovations, research and commitment to students.


RecycleMania 2012: From Contest to Culture

Miami University, an early leader in campus recycling, is looking to get back in the game with a weekly series of "Go Green @ Miami" events and competitions in Spring 2012. Miami was commended by the White House Task Force on Recycling in 2000 and went on to co-found the RecycleMania national collegiate recycling competition with Ohio University. Miami won three times and placed in the top four since its beginning in 2001 through 2008.

Ayer's gift establishes endowments for Spanish majors and men's basketball

A $100,000 gift to Miami University from Carol Peery Ayers (Miami '77) and Randy Ayers (Miami '78) has established endowments supporting study abroad experiences for Spanish majors and scholarship support for the men's basketball program.
