Miami University's Scripps Center releases factbook

Recognizing that growing numbers of Ohioans are seeking information about long-term services and supports, Miami University's Scripps Gerontology Center has released its third edition of the Ohio Long-Term Services and Supports Factbook. The book provides a basic introduction to long-term services and supports, which include any assistance given to people with limitations impacting their abilities to perform daily activities.

Bill Even (economics) is quoted in an article about job openings in Ohio and across the country going up sharply in December, climbing to their highest level nationally in nearly three years, but many local employers saying that they can't find enough qualified workers for those available jobs.

  • Team Miami is ready to get employees motivated and moving. Set a goal to walk, walk/run, or run in the Red Brick Run 5K (April 22) and Team Miami will provide 10-weeks of training and encouragement all the way to the finish line. Miami employees and community members of any fitness level are welcome to participate. Orientation will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Feb.13, in Millett Hall.
