Miami University's School of Fine Arts announced that Wynton Marsalis will deliver his acclaimed speech, "The Ballad of American Arts," as the Year of the Arts keynote address at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, in Gates-Abegglen Theatre in the Center for Performing Arts. Immediately following his presentation, Marsalis will take questions from the audience.

Miami University will hold its first Intercontinental Week from April 16-20. The week, organized by several cultural organizations on campus, will celebrate cultural diversity.
Zachary Zimmer, professor of social and behavioral science at the University California, San Francisco will discuss China's new demographic reality at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, in 108 Marcum Conference Center. His lecture is the 2012 P.K. Whelpton Memorial Lecture sponsored by Scripps Gerontology Center.
