A new Ohio historical marker will soon be added to Miami University's campus to recognize the historical significance of fraternity and sorority life at Miami. A dedication ceremony is planned at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 12, in front of the Alpha Delta Phi house at 22 S. Campus Ave. The marker will note Miami as the "Mother of Fraternities," a nickname Miami has held for more than 100 years.
Miami University's Inquiry Center has created a new publication designed to be a forum for undergraduates of all majors to share their original work. Mi CUP of TEA stands for Miami's Creative Undergraduate Publication of Thoughtful Engagement in Action.
Wayne Elzey, former professor of comparative religion at Miami University, died of pancreatic cancer March 27 at his home in Brookville, Ind. He was 70.
