18th annual Undergraduate Research Forum April 11

More than 400 Miami University undergraduate students from all disciplines will present their faculty-mentored research at the annual Undergraduate Research Forum to be held at Shriver Center Wednesday, April 11.

Miami forensics brings home national awards

Miami University forensics, the speech and debate team, took home a number of awards from two national competitions they attended this year.

Late last evening, Thursday, April 5, representatives of the Sigma Chi International Fraternity met with members of Miami's Sigma Chi alpha chapter to inform them that the fraternity's executive committee has suspended the chapter's charter.


Finch Lecture features Miami alumni in international security

Miami University's department of political science hosts its annual Finch Lecture in International Affairs at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, in 111 Harrison Hall. This year's lecture features four experts in international security who are all alumni of Miami's political science program.

Oxford native and Miami University alumnus (MS '83) Kevin Marks recently celebrated his 16th anniversary as a university staff member. Now on his sixth title, the senior director of development for campaign services credits his radio background for his success in university advancement.


In memoriam: Mary Melvin

Mary Melvin, teacher education emerita, died March 18 at The Knolls in Oxford. She was 76 years old.
