This year, Miami University's student counseling service invited some unlikely friends to help students sit back and relax during finals week. Students spent their down time between study periods and exams with canine companions.
Jun Wang (Miami '11), a first-year master's student in electrical and computer engineering at Miami University, received a Best Paper award at the joint IEEE/Institute of Navigation (ION) Position, Location and Navigation Symposium and annual meeting held April 24-26 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
As senior director of administration for the Hamilton and Middletown campuses, Chris Connell sees a lot. The business office, security, food service and personnel offices report to him as he oversees daily business operations of both campuses. But one thing he repeatedly sees daily - students carrying heavy book bags - troubled him, sparking an entrepreneurial adventure that led him to the invention of the Flat Pack.
