$1 million gift from Dick Thomas creates Farmer School Chair

Miami University and the Farmer School of Business have announced a $1 million gift from G. Richard (Dick) Thomas '48 to establish the G. Richard and Jane S. Thomas Endowed Assistant Professor Chair Fund. The fund will be used to assist the Farmer School of Business in attracting and retaining talented, tenure-track faculty.

  • Niihka will experience a service outage from Wednesday, May 9, beginning at 7 p.m. through 2 a.m. Thursday, May 10. The outage is required to upgrade Niihka to the Oracle 11g database. Please be sure to log off Niihka prior to the outage, as any unsaved changes may be lost without warning.
  • The Miami University e-Report begins summer publishing schedule today (May 7). The e-Report will publish Tuesdays and Fridays each week during the summer. Please submit story information to e-Report@muohio.edu.
  • The annual planned campuswide electrical power outage test is scheduled for May 8 from 7 p.m. until 2 a.m. May 9. The test of the system will require a campuswide electric power outage. It is recommended to power off and unplug computers, printers, fax machines and other electronic equipment before going home.
