Alumnus receives Presidential Award for teaching excellence

Miami University alumnus David Bonner (BS '02, MS '04) received the 2011 Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST). Bonner was among 97 honorees who traveled to Washington, D.C., July 15 to receive their awards.

Miami part of EarthScope: Continental scale seismic observatory

Miami University has joined the continent-wide EarthScope project with the recent installation of an EarthScope Transportable Array seismic station at the Ecology Research Center. EarthScope is a National Science Foundation program to study the structure and evolution of the North American continent by installing hundreds of ultra-sensitive seismometers, GPS stations and other scientific instruments across the United States. Sinclair and Miami University's regional campuses sign articulation agreement

Sinclair College and Miami University's regional campuses have signed an articulation agreement that is intended to improve service to students of both institutions. The pathway created by the agreement is designed to increase the number of adults with meaningful workplace credentials and to ultimately increase the number of Ohioans with bachelor's degrees.
