Interior design major wins $30,000 Donghia Foundation scholarship

Kaitlin Boso, a senior interior design major at Miami University, received the 2012 Angelo Donghia Foundation Senior Scholarship Award. She is one of 13 students nationwide selected for the award from among more than 200 applicants.

New domain name encouraged for employee email use

Among efforts to strengthen recognition of Miami University through consistent visual representation, is a new, more identifiable domain name, MiamiOH.edu.

IT services announces new organizational structure

Debra Allison, vice president for IT services and chief information officer, recently announced a new organizational structure for central IT (information technology) at an all-staff meeting. The new structure, designed as part of the SSIP-IT (Support Services Implementation Project - IT) initiative, will deliver an estimated $509,000 in annual savings and focuses on improvements in governance, support services and application development.

Miami and Oxford police departments enter new mutual aid agreement

The police departments of Miami University and the city of Oxford have renewed their mutual aid agreement and updated several sections. The agreement, common among neighboring law enforcement agencies and authorized by Ohio law, took effect July 1.

Undergraduate application for fall 2013 admission available Aug. 1

The fall 2013 application for undergraduate admission to Miami University becomes available Wednesday, Aug. 1.

  • Center Drive closed
    Due to construction activity, Center Drive (between Scott and Dodds) through traffic remains closed until Aug. 12. Temporary two-way traffic continues off of Oak Street and access to the MacCracken service drive remains open. After this construction activity is completed, Center Drive converts to one-way coming the other direction off of Maple Street.
