Miami University climbs 11 spots and is ranked Ohio's top public university

Miami University climbed 11 spots in America's Top Colleges 2012 list from Forbes magazine to become 35 in the nation among all public universities. Miami ranked highest in Ohio. The list was released this week and highlights 650 private and public institutions nationwide.

Miami welcomes 400 new international students

Miami University's international student enrollment could top 1,000 in fall semester 2012, including nearly 400 new students who begin arriving on campus during the first two weeks of August.

OPERS hosts town hall meetings

OPERS invites Miami employees to a town hall meeting where representatives will explain the proposed changes to health care and pension legislation. Two sessions will be held: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, and 9:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, in Shriver Center.

Father and son honor mother's memory

A $160,000 gift to Miami University from Richard A. Gillis (Miami '60) and son Peter Andrew Gillis has created the Carol Virginia Gable Gillis (Miami '60) Scholarship in memory of a beloved wife, mother and teacher.
