Miami's open enrollment period for health insurance benefits in 2013 runs Oct. 1-31. Miami continues to offer a traditional (PPO) plan and a high deductible health plan with health savings account. There are changes to the plan design and premiums.
Norma Cantu, professor emerita of English at the University of Texas, San Antonio, will present "Fiestas in Texas: Exploring Borderlands Cultural Production" at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, in the Shriver Center Heritage Room. Her talk is part of the UniDiversity program organized by the Center for American and World Cultures.
On Monday, Sept. 24, University Senate heard reports from: Provost Bobby Gempesaw, chair of University Senate; James Kiper, chair, Executive Committee of University Senate; and a report from the Sept. 21, 2012, meeting of Miami University's board of trustees.
