Jianying Zha, a writer and media commentator based in New York and Beijing, will discuss China's changing cultural, social and economic landscape in "Transformation in Modern China" at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, in 1000 Farmer School of Business.
Five area students recently have been awarded scholarships from the Miami University Alumni Association Middletown Area Chapter. The scholarships, worth $250 each, are designed to defray the cost of books for the fall semester.
The Michael J. Colligan History Project and the Fitton Center for Creative Arts launch a lecture series about the role of the arts in Hamilton's past and future Thursday, Sept. 6, with philanthropist and Miami University trustee Harry T. Wilks (Miami '48).
