Faculty in Spanish and Portuguese receive grant to address needs of middle and high school teachers

Darcy Donahue and Katie Fowler-Cordoba of Miami University's department of Spanish and Portuguese have received the Ohio Humanities Council (OHC) Teacher's Institute grant for Summer 2013. The grant award supports seminars designed to enrich teachers' understanding and appreciation of the humanities subject they teach.


Wine Tasting Gala and Auction Feb. 2: Annual Performing Arts Series event benefits arts education

The Miami University Performing Arts Series will host its 23rd annual Wine Tasting Gala and Auction to benefit arts education activities 7-10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Millett Hall. Tickets, $59 per person, will be available at the door, although advance reservations are strongly encouraged.

In memoriam: Nicole Sefton

First-year student Nicole M. Sefton of Hamilton died Jan. 24. She was an athletic training major taking classes on both the Hamilton and Oxford campuses.
