Miami University ranks 7th in U.S. News rankings of Best National Universities for Veterans

Miami University is ranked 7th among national universities in the inaugural U.S. News Best Colleges for Veterans rankings. Top-ranked schools in the Best Colleges rankings participate in federal initiatives helping veterans and active service members apply, pay for and complete their degrees.

Jonathan Kozol, best-selling author and early educator and social justice advocate, will present "The Shame of a Nation: Public Education Still Separate, Still Unequal" at 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18.

"Making Stuff Colder" program featured Jon Costanzo (biology) talking about freeze-tolerant wood frogs. The Miami segment begins at 20:25. Note: The research team's wood frog research also will be spotlighted in the David Attenborough production, "Natural Curiosities" in January. No date has been set. (NOVA, Wednesday, Oct. 30)


Performance caps It Gets Better Week
