In preparation for the opening of the Armstrong Student Center in 2014, Miami University launches the Great Seal Book Writing Contest: President David Hodge invites students to "write" the book that will be one of three key elements featured in the center of the Bicentennial Rotunda.

"Celebrating Global Sisterhood" (formerly the Women of Color Celebration) will be held 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, in the Shriver Center multipurpose room. Sponsored by the women's center, the program features the presentation of the Jennie Elder Suel Distinguished Woman of Color Award and a luncheon with Middle Eastern cuisine.
Visiting Russian musicians Tatyana Kuznetsova, violin, and Anna Misaylova, cello, will perform with Miami music faculty Mary E.M. Harris, viola, Andrea Ridilla, oboe, and Christin Schillinger, bassoon, in a free chamber music concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 3, in Souers Recital Hall.
