"Grand Night in Vegas" March 22-23

The Miami University department of music will present "A Grand Night in Vegas" at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 22 and 23, in Hall Auditorium. "Grand Night" features many of Miami's finest vocalists and instrumentalists in an evening of song and dance showcasing hit songs that made "Sin City" famous.


Xia elected Fellow of Optical Society of America

Tiejun Xia, adjunct professor of electrical and computer engineering at Miami University, was elected a Fellow of the Optical Society of America (OSA). He is recognized for his significant contributions to high-speed optical transport network technology and architecture development.

Promotion and tenure 2013 Special Report online

The promotion and/or tenure of 46 faculty members and the continuing contract and/or promotion of 10 librarians was approved Feb. 8 by the Miami University board of trustees. A Special Report on Promotion and Tenure 2013 is available in PDF format on the provost's website.


Students can nominate grandparents by March 22 for Miami Grandparents of the Year

Miami students may nominate their grandparent(s) for Miami's Grandparents of the Year recognition by March 22. Every grandparent nominated will be honored at the annual Miami Grandparents of the Year ceremony at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 18. The annual Miami Grandparents of the Year celebration is sponsored by Scripps Gerontology Center.
