Smart and diverse, class of 2017 well equipped for Miami's nationally-acclaimed academics

The most academically talented and diverse class in the history of Miami University describes this year's approximately 3,650 first-year students who move in Aug. 22 and attend Convocation Aug. 23. Fall classes for the university begin Aug. 26.

New, state-of-the-art buildings welcome students in the new school year

New and improved facilities are busting out around Miami University's Oxford campus this summer. Among the closely watched sites are the new dining and residence halls at the south end of campus and the ongoing construction of the Armstrong Student Center in the center of campus.

Parking restrictions during move-in day

Miami University welcomes the class of 2017 and their families, Thursday, Aug. 22, for move-in day. Due to the large amount of traffic traveling to campus that day, parking services will implement restricted zones to allow visitors to campus to have easy access for unloading their vehicles near residence halls.

University helps the Miami of Oklahoma tribe

Officials with the Historic Forks of the Wabash turned over nine significant treaties to the Miami of Oklahoma tribe, and tribe members are working to restore them and make them available online, with the help of Miami University. (WANE TV, Friday, Aug. 16)
