Our Staff

Organizational Structure

The Discovery Center employs 18-20 staff, including researchers, statisticians, education specialists, undergraduate students, graduate research assistants, and consultants. Center staff members possess a broad range of knowledge and skills across science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) as well as education disciplines.

The Center’s mission is executed through the joint efforts of five strategically organized teams, as well as research and support provided by Discovery Center Fellows. The Executive and Support Team leads and manages all Center activities and is responsible for fiscal and day-to-day operations of the Center. Executive and Support Team members also strengthen collaborations with existing partners, while facilitating new opportunities for Center work. The Center’s Research and Evaluation Teams, and Professional Learning Team manage and execute projects in their areas of expertise, and carry out day-to-day activities for assigned projects, programs, and Center activities. The Center’s Research, Evaluation, and Professional Learning Team members not only work together to carryout the mission of the Center—they also to contribute to intellectual and managerial direction of the Center and inform the fields of STEM and education in general.
