Academic Integrity

The SEOH program adheres to the Miami University “Graduate Student Academic and Research/Creative Activity Integrity Policy” as described in Part 1, Section 5 of the Graduate Student Handbook. This policy described issues related to academic integrity that are applicable in the SEOH program in the completion of coursework and graduate student research projects.

Examples of “Unethical or Dishonest Conduct in Academic Study” include, but is not limited to, activities such as cheating, plagiarism, unapproved collaboration on course assignments, or failure to follow required procedures for the use of human subjects in research. All occurrences of academic dishonesty will be reported, investigated, and adjudicated according to the policy and procedure described in Part 1, Section 5 of the Graduate Student Handbook. Violations have resulted in students being charged with Academic Dishonesty. In such cases, students may have AD (Academic Dishonesty) placed on their transcript, or/and receive an F for the course.
