Fall 2017 Courses

Continuing coursework this fall? The SEOH program utilizes the fall sprint Q-term, beginning September 11. There will be three live sessions, the first of which is September 23. Registration for the fall semester is available in BannerWeb and please register as soon as possible. Consult your plan of study to confirm which (if any) of the available fall courses are needed to satisfy your individual program requirements. Contact the One Stop office if you have any issues regarding registration. Contact Leslie Sawhook with any course advising questions.

Licensure to M.Ed.

Any currently enrolled, licensure-only program student is welcome to apply for the M.Ed. in Special Education. Please note that students who apply to the master’s program after taking 12 or more credits may not count more than the most recent 12 credits towards their degree. Please contact the SEOH program office with any questions about this university requirement.

Licensure Information

Students completing their licensure requirements this summer will apply for the Intervention Specialist license via the Ohio Department of Education. ODE will verify course requirements with Miami University. For assistance, please contact the Office of Educator Licensure at (614) 466-3593 or toll-free at (877) 644-6338. Additional licensure assessment information is available on our SEOH licensure resource page.

Autism Spectrum Disorders Certificate

Students pursuing their Mild-Moderate license and/or our master's degree in Special Education may also be interested in pursing a graduate certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders. The certificate consists of 4 non-sequential fully online courses. No additional application is required. Please visit the website to learn more.
