December SEOH News

Spring 2017 Licensed Matriculants

All students who began our program this spring and who hold teaching licenses must complete a field observation prior to applying for the Mild-Moderate license. Lesley Sawhook will be contacting these students and share a form to be submitted by a supervisor or principal who observes the lesson taught to students on IEPs. Licensed students not currently working in a school setting will work with the university's Field Placement office to arrange the lesson and observation. Completed forms are to be mailed to the SEOH program office. Contact Lesley with any questions about this Ohio Department of Education licensure requirement.

Winter and Spring Terms

The SEOH winter term courses begin January 2, 2018. The term's first live session is January 6. The spring “W-term” begins March 12, though the first class meeting will be Saturday, March 10.

Registration for both winter and spring terms is available in BannerWeb. SEOH students are encouraged to register well-before the first winter class meeting on January 6. Students receiving financial assistance and who are taking both winter & spring courses will have their aid disbursed on January 6. Winter/Spring semester bills are due January 10. Find out more about disbursements and to learn how to avoid a hold on your aid.

Contact Lesley with any program advising questions. Contact One Stop for assistance with any holds that may be placed on your registration.

Winter Graduation

While there isn't a winter (January) graduation ceremony, students may graduate in the winter term. The deadline to apply is December 15, 2017. Winter candidates are encouraged to participate in the December (fall) graduation ceremony on December 15.
