With the guidance of Miami University’s Clinical Nutrition Faculty member, Nancy Parkinson, a combination of eighty elementary school students and their parents, nutrition, coding and engineering students, participated in the Third Annual STEAM conference this past Sunday.

Participants were involved in engaging activities with an emphasis on nutrition in the areas of Science, Engineering, Technology, Art and Math.

The event was hosted by the Student Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the students in the KNH 453H Nutrition Education Seminar course and various other student organizations on campus.

Participants enjoyed learning more about how nutrition is integrated in each discipline as well as partaking in anutrition lunch.

Everyone is looking forward to the event next year!
