The United Way of Oxford, OH honors "Unsung Heroes," local volunteers who have made a positive impact on those they choose to serve.

Educational Psychology faculty member Ashley Johnson received the Emerging Leader Award for her role in creating a postsecondary college program for adults with cognitive disabilities on campus. The Inclusive University Program connects Miami students and learners with cognitive disabilities so that they may experience college together. Johnson inspires students to embrace diversity and engage in inclusive practices.
