Major and Requirements

The bachelor's degree program in accountancy is designed to provide students with a general understanding of multiple areas of accounting and the knowledge and skills needed to prepare them for entry-level accounting positions that require only an undergraduate degree, and for graduate business and accounting programs.

Miami Plan and Farmer School of Business Requirements

The B.S. in ACC is based on the Miami Plan, which consists of 36 hours of foundation courses in areas outside of the School of Business. In addition, the School of Business core includes 45 hours of courses from all the business disciplines.

For complete requirements and course descriptions, see the Miami bulletin.
