Biography

Dr. Arthur Carvalho is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Analytics at Farmer School of Business, Miami University. His research interests lie at the intersection of Information Systems, Analytics, and Decision Analysis. In particular, Dr. Carvalho works on the development and deployment of artificial intelligence techniques and decision support systems to assist decision makers in making better decisions. Dr. Carvalho’s research has been published in leading academic journals such as Annals of Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence, Decision Support Systems, INFORMS Decision Analysis, Judgement and Decision Making, The Journal of Prediction Markets, among others. Before joining Miami University, Dr. Carvalho worked as an Assistant Professor at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. He received his MMath and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo in 2010 and 2014.
