Michael Lipsitz received a Ph.D. in economics from Boston University in 2017 and is an Assistant Professor of Economics in the Farmer School of Business at Miami University. He is interested in applied microeconomics, especially labor economics and the economics of contracting. His research focuses on the mobility, earnings, and employment effects of labor law, labor practices, and institutions, such as noncompete agreements. Dr. Lipsitz teaches intermediate and advanced microeconomic theory, as well as sports economics.
