Biography

Originally from Akron, Ohio, USA, he is a U.S.-Mexico dual citizen born to Mexican parents. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Akron and in 2004, graduated with two bachelor’s degrees: International Business and Spanish Language. Later, he secured a scholarship to pursue graduate studies in South Korea. In 2009, he graduated with the highest honors from Kyung Hee University with a Master’s Degree in International Relations, specializing in foreign policy and economic development of the People’s Republic of China, South Korea and Japan. In 2012, he graduated from the EGADE Business School from the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Monterrey Campus, with an MBA in Management Strategy. He completed a PhD in Business Administration specializing in Marketing and International Business from the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley. He also was an instructor of marketing at the same university. Apart from his education, he has worked for several companies in the USA, particularly in the banking and credit sectors. During his stay in Asia, he worked as an external consultant with the Asian Development Bank, where he worked primarily on projects related to innovation and public policy in eight different Asian countries. Additionally, he has worked as an assistant to the Vice Present of Special Projects and Innovation at the University of Texas-Pan American. He has been invited to speak at various Mexican universities, like the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí, the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas, Campus Nuevo Laredo, the Autonomous University of Coahuila, Campus Saltillo, as well as many others. He has also presented empirical papers at difference conferences, such as the American Marketing Association, the Society for Marketing Advances, the Business Association of Latin American Studies as the Western Hemispheric Trade Conference. He is fluent in English and in Spanish.
