Farmer School Professor Named Naus Family Faculty Scholar

April 2012

Megan W. Gerhardt, Associate Professor of Management at Farmer School of Business, has been named as one of Miami University's two Naus Family Faculty Scholars.

Scholar recipients are selected by Miami President David C. Hodge in recognition of excellence in teaching and research. This endowed scholar position is made possible by a gift from Jim and Susan Naus, both members of the class of '67. The three year scholar appointment will begin July 1, 2012.

"We are delighted that Professor Gerhardt was selected for this esteemed honor," said Farmer School Dean Roger L. Jenkins, the Mitchell P. Rales Chair in Business Leadership. "She is an energetic and demanding educator who embodies the true spirit of a teacher and scholar."

Gerhardt received a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa in Organizational Behavior. Her research focuses on individual differences, from generational to gender diversity differences, and their impact on motivation, learning and leadership. She is the associate editor of the Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies and serves on the editorial board of the Academy of Management Learning and Education. Gerhardt is Director of the Buck Rodgers Business Leadership Program at Farmer School.
