Huang Named Endres Fellow

Xiaowen Huang, Associate Professor of Management at Farmer School, is the recipient of the Endres Associate Professor Fellowship for 2012. One Endres Fellow is selected each year by the Dean of the Farmer School in recognition of progress towards rank as professor.

"Professor Huang is a clear choice for this distinguished honor," said Farmer School Dean Roger L. Jenkins, the Mitchell P. Rales Chair in Business Leadership. "She is building an impressive record of excellent teaching, high-quality scholarship, and productive service."

Huang received a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in Operations and Management Science. Her research focuses on how companies can deploy global supply chains, technology, and operations strategies to remain competitive. Her work has appeared in Journal of Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, Journal of Supply Chain Management, and Journal of International Business Studies.

Huang is the recipient of the 2011 Miami University Distinguished Scholar Award, the 2010 Richard T. Smucker Teaching Excellence Award for Junior Professors, and the 2010 James Robeson Junior Faculty Award for Research Excellence. She currently serves as chair of the Farmer School Graduate Studies Committee.
