2012 Start-Up Weekend Competition Winner Gaining Momentum and Funding

January 2014

NomNom Nation, the winner of the first Farmer School Start-Up Weekend, was featured in a January 14th article on WCPO.com. NomNom, named for team member Chelsea Naumen, is a student-created app that makes it easier for people to donate to food banks.

With just a click of a button on the NomNom app, users can see an updated list of most needed items from their local food bank and donate money so the food bank can buy what it needs.

The NomNom Nation team is currently seeking funding on crowdfunding site "indiegogo" to develop the NomNom app for iPhones. Currently, the app is limited to Android phones.
