PSE Takes Gold Again at National Convention

April 2015

With more than 40 chapter members in attendance, the Farmer School’s chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon, Gamma Gamma, was awarded the title of Lewis F. Gordon Top Gold Chapter at the PSE National Convention in Houston, Texas. This is the chapter’s second consecutive year winning this honor and their 11th victory in the past 16 years.

Beginning on April 14th, PSE members began the daunting process of presenting the previous year’s work across various categories, including Marketing, Sales, Management, Service, and more to the judging panel. To their excitement, they swept the board and received not only the Top Gold Chapter award, but also Top Management Team, 2nd place Top Marketing Research, 2nd place Top Service Project, 2nd place Top Public Relations Strategy, and 2nd place in the Recruitment Fair Challenge.

“We're ecstatic that our chapter placed first in the PSE National Awards competition in Houston. All of the members are extremely proud of the accomplishments from the 2014 year including: 19 high yielding and eclectic client projects ranging from Fortune 500 companies to social entrepreneurship startups, 377 service hours amounting to $9K in donations, and five strategic technology process innovations including a new website and intranet. We look forward from this success to continually improving the PSE Miami Gamma Gamma organization,” said Jonathon Leist, the chapter’s President from the 2013-2014 school year.

Individual members also performed strongly, representing Gamma Gamma well. Katie Roberts was awarded the honor of Top Project Manager and Seth Badger received 2nd place as Top PSE Salesperson, while Benjamin Nader received the President’s Award, recognizing his outstanding dedication to the organization. Chapter members Allie Engelhart, Stephanie Daum, and Gina Venuti also received individual scholarships for their chapter contributions.

Current President Benjamin Arwine couldn’t have been happier with the results of the convention: “We're all very excited and proud to have won Top Gold Chapter in Houston! It's a great sendoff for our seniors, and motivation for our younger members to continue our longstanding tradition of excellence. I'm humbled to be a part of such a talented group of people.”
