Economics Honors Students Take Top Honors

April 2016

Three economics honors students traveled to Bowling Green’s annual undergraduate paper competition at which students from Miami and nine other universities and colleges participated. We returned with the top two paper prizes.

Derek Hoodin's paper, "Reinvesting in Quality or Stuffing Shareholders' Pockets: How Does Providing Care to More Post-Acute Care Patients Impact Quality and Profitability of Nursing Homes?" took first place and Becca Jorgensen's paper, "Moving 'Pabst' the Protests: Was Act 10 Necessary Monopoly Regulation or Political Union-Busting?" won second place.
