Business Legal Studies Track Departmental Notes:

  • Must meet with an advisor to declare this major.
  • BLS 465 may satisfy the Business Capstone and BLS Track requirement.
  • Only one non-business course may apply to the BLS Track requirement.
  • MGT 402 may satisfy the Diversity and BLS Track requirement.
  • For the BLS Track requirement, BLS 437 and BLS 464 are required.
  • For the BLS Track requirement, required electives include 8 credit hours from the following courses: ACC 343, BLS 316, BLS 462, BLS 465, BLS 477, ECO 325, MGT 402, POL 352 or POL 353 or POL 363.

General Requirements for Business Legal Studies Track and International Business Track:

  • Must earn 124 hours to graduate; minimum of 52 hours of non-business coursework required.
  • 2.0 GPA overall and 2.0 GPA in business are required to graduate.
  • FSB students must select a non-business thematic sequence (some exceptions - consult your advisor).
  • Pre-requisite information available in the Miami Bulletin.
  • Diversity courses may meet GMP Intercultural Perspectives.
  • Most FSB students satisfy GMP Experiential Learning with an internship; students must register for BUS or BLS 340 to complete this requirement.
