Lion Dance Club

Lion's dance club performanceLion dance has a long history. It is a traditional event performed in festivals. Because of active movement and attractive style, it has become very popular around the world. The Lion Dance Club members do martial art training and lion dance skill practicing. Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Club

Chinese Painting ClubStudents in the painting and calligraphy club learn basic knowledge about painting and calligraphy. Many Chinese students have practiced the art for several years and are eager to share their experiences and teach other students the art of calligraphy and painting. All students are welcome to share and learn Chinese calligraphy and art culture.

Classic Tea Club

Tea CeremonyThe Classic Tea club aims to gather people to learn about the tea culture of China. The club gets people together to drink tea, exchange knowledge about tea, and perform tea-making ceremonies. No experience needed. Various kinds of tea, mainly Chinese, but also teas from other countries like America, Japan, and India, are tasted.

Chinese Classical Music Ensemble

Music Ensemble PerformanceMany students with years of experience playing Chinese instruments such as guzheng, pipa, erhu, flute, and jinghu formed the group to perform together and teach others. The club performs in shows such as the Chinese festivals, International Fairs, departmental graduation ceremonies, and for student organizations like CSSA. All are welcome and no experience needed.

Folk Dance Club

folk dance clubFolk dance played a crucial role in the development of dance in China, drawing upon elements of some of the earliest dances in court rituals and ceremonies. The purpose of this club is to bring people together to discover ancient Chinese music and folk dances. Club members will have the opportunity to travel to local schools and colleges to perform. If you love to dance and want an immersive cultural experience, we welcome people from different countries and diverse backgrounds to join us for this amazing experience.

Han Costume Club

The Han Costume club aims to gather students who are interested in the traditional Chinese clothing culture. The club gets people together to exchange knowledge about Chinese costume and dressing manner, and perform elegant Han costume ceremony and social etiquette originated from 5000 years ago. Please join us to experience the traditional charms of Chinese clothing culture.
