Summer Housing Options

During late May through the beginning of August, the inventory of Miami University residence halls become home to thousands of visitors in Oxford for conferences, workshops, camps, swim meets, and individual courses of study. With over 35 residence halls throughout a square mile area, Miami has plenty to offer in the way of economical accommodations to camps and conferences alike.

Apartment Style

A popular option for upgraded housing on Miami’s campus, the apartments of Heritage Commons are conveniently located at the Corwin M. Nixon Aquatics Center. Six buildings house a total of 108 apartments with the following amenities:

  • Three bedroom apartment with a full bed, dresser and desk with chair per bedroom
  • Living room with sofa
  • Dinette set with four chairs
  • Unfurnished kitchen with full-sized refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave and dishwasher
  • Electronic locks on each bedroom door, apartment door and exterior door of the apartment building, all accessible by programmed access cards

On the property of Heritage Commons, the following are amenities available to each guest of the apartments:

  • Access to Community Building, which includes a kitchenette, lounge with large screen TV, and pool table
  • Complimentary, on-site parking (for up to three cars per apartment) - requires permit
  • Two laundry rooms with card-access washers and dryers

Traditional Residence Halls

A variety of room options to suit your taste and budget are available:

  • Double rooms with centrally located bath
  • Single rooms with centrally located bath
  • House-style design housing with increased common spaces and more restroom privacy per guest

Standard items in each residence hall include:

  • Mini-fridges in each residence hall room
  • Twin XL beds, desk with chair and dresser per guest
  • Electronic locks on both bedroom doors as well as exterior residence hall doors, all accessible by programmed access cards
  • Variety of common spaces, lounges, kitchenettes and outdoor spaces for use by individual guests as well as program needs

Optional residence hall amenities are available:

  • Linen and towel service for participants
  • Air conditioning
  • 24 hour Bell Desk staff
