Intramural Sports

Miami University was one of the first institutions in America to establish a program of intramural sports for students. We strive daily to uphold the beliefs of our founders Margaret Phillips and Thomas P. Van Voorhis by our devotion to a "fun through sports" philosophy as part of an educational community.

The Intramural Program provides the Miami student, faculty, and staff structured sporting activities with an emphasis on participation, fun and safety. Intramural activities are voluntary in nature and each participant is given an opportunity to participate in a sport of their choice regardless of physical abilities and skill level.

We offer leagues, tournaments, individual and dual events for males, females and co-recreational teams. Intramurals foster a healthy spirit of competition, sportsmanship and teamwork while enhancing social interaction.
