New human resources website debuts

Human resources has launched its new website, miamioh.edu/human-resources, focusing on the lifecycle of an employee at Miami.

The new website is organized around topics that matter to employees: money, benefits and wellness, life events, and professional development. In addition, the site provides sections geared toward prospective employees, new hires, managers, and student employees.

"We believe by organizing the content by employee needs versus separate units within the department, users can find information much faster than before," said Dawn Fahner, associate vice president of human resources.

The human resources website team worked closely with university communications and marketing to complete this project. Together, we spent over a year identifying and improving content, building the site in the university’s content management system, focus group testing on the new site and updating branding/compliance standards.

Additional new features include:

  • Conforms to Miami’s ADA Accessibility Standards
  • News and events calendar
  • Mobile friendly, easy navigation on phones and tablets
  • Search box for all information (including forms)
  • Quick Links section based on common calls into human resources
