Summer Fitness

How we are welcoming summer with wide open arms! The chance to finally get outside where we get to be our most physically active: walk/run with our pets, mowing the lawn, tending to our gardens or flower beds, swimming, biking, etc. and just basking in that sunshine for some much needed vitamin D is definitely a great thing.

A new fitness schedule is available for summer season starting Mon 5/20 - Fri 8/23. The lunch classes continue to be 12:10-12:55 p.m., however evening classes will be 5:00-6:00 p.m. Please check out our HR events calendar to see the schedule for each class and workshop and our fitness website for full descriptions for all classes, workshops, and fitness center hours.

New Locations for Summer Fitness Beginning Week of 5/20

  • Cardio Tone PM will move to Chestnut Field House
  • Cardio Tone AM will move to Phillips Hall, 33 gym
  • Yoga PM will move to Phillips Hall, 115 dance studio
  • Hip Hop PM will move to Chestnut Field House

All fitness programs are free, at no-cost to all Miami faculty and staff (both full time and part time are welcome) as well as spouses on the health insurance plan. Plus you can participate on your primary campus or a regional campus depending on what works best for your schedule. As always, no experience is necessary to participate in any of the workshops or group fitness classes.
